Internationally renowned Carter Brothers Band to perform at Downtown Davidson Inc.’s Concert on the Green June 15th (Print Version)

Davidson , NC – June 5, 2008 – Downtown Davidson Inc.’s June 15 th Concert on the Green will feature the beautiful blend of rock, folk, and blues from the Carter Brothers Band.

North Carolina natives that now reside in Nashville and relatives of the infamous “Carter Family”, they have their roots in Appalachian folk, blues, and bluegrass while also feeling the influence of rock.

The Carter Brothers Band has been receiving a great amount of international attention recently, touring in places such as Spain and Ireland. Sean Ennis of the Belfast Free Press describes a recent concert as “Captivating! An exotic blend of old and new Americana, presented with an unbridled energy that we will not soon forget.”

The concert, sponsored by Knox Realty, Mi-Connection, The Village Store, and the J.J. Wade Agency, is from 6:00 –8:00pm and is free to the public. The show will take place on Davidson’s Village Green, at the corner of Main St. and Davidson/Concord Road in the heart of the historic downtown district.

Downtown Davidson Inc. is celebrating their 10 th year of the Concert on the Green series. In celebration of the anniversary, each concert this year will feature a picnic contest with prizes to be awarded to the winners. The June 15 th show will honor the “most down home” picnic.
