Rocking Chairs on the Green
Press Release
April 5, 2008 – Davidson NC – Neither rain nor change of venue could keep the Davidson businesses and their artist coaches from the Creative Art Exchange from having a great time on Sat. April 5. Teams from Knox Realty, Wooden Stone, Monkees of Lake Norman, Market Properties, Creative Art Exchange, The Village Store, The Needlecraft Center, and Saussy Burbank met at the Davidson College Presbyterian Church Congregation House and created their rocking chair masterpieces while they enjoyed Summit Coffee and Harris Teeter pastries. Even Bill Giduz and other fellow jugglers were able to perform for the crowd and face painters delighted the children with their art. South Main Square, Davidson Village Inn, and WDAV chose to work on their chairs either at their business location or at their artist coach’s studio. Look for these wonderful rockers that will now be placed outside the businesses or at Town Hall for the rest of the month as a visual reminder that April is for Arts and Culture in North Mecklenburg.
